His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge-except what He wills ˹to reveal˺.
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. Wa-huwa l-‘aliyyu l-‘aẓīm(u) Meaning Ģ55 Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Wasi‘a kursiyyuhu s-samāwāti wa- l-arḍ(a) Wa-lā yuḥīṭūna bisha y’in m-min ‘ilmihi ’illā bi-mā shā’(a) Man dhā lladhī yashfa‘u ‘indahu ’illā bi-’idhnih(ī) ²⁵⁴ Lā tākhudhuhu sinatun w-walā nawm(un) Wasi‘a kursiyyuhu s-samāwāti wa-l-’arḍ(a) Walā yuḥīṭūna bishay’in m-min ‘ilmihi ’illā bi-mā shā’(a) Ya‘lamu mā bayna ’aydīhim wa-mā khalfahum Man dhā lladhī yashfa‘u ‘indahu ’illā bi’idhnih(ī) The verse consists of ten complete Arabic sentences.
